After consultation with local officials and thorough evaluation by our Superintendent and Directors, we have decided to close the Washington County School District on Friday.

Our team has been out assessing the roads that our buses would travel, and unfortunately, the conditions are simply not safe for our students or busses to be on.

While we acknowledge that temperatures are expected to rise and some snow and ice will melt, we remain deeply concerned about areas with bridges and high embankments. With expected freezing temperatures beginning at 6pm and going through 9am, any melting could refreeze, creating hazardous conditions.

The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we believe this decision is in the best interest of everyone involved.

Thank you for your understanding and support. Please stay safe and warm!

See you Monday!!!
